About the product

Bespoke 1900s Indian Jali Coffee Table | Hand-Carved Mango Wood Panel with Glass Top | Rajasthani Haveli Salvage

Introduce artisanal history into your living space with this breathtaking bespoke Indian coffee table, transformed from an authentic 1900s hand-carved jali panel salvaged from a Rajasthani haveli. Crafted from solid mango wood, this intricately carved panel features geometric floral motifs and a central rosette medallion—each chisel mark a tribute to a bygone era of Indian design excellence.

✦ Architectural Elegance & Artisan Heritage
This panel was originally a decorative jali insert used in traditional haveli architecture to allow light and air into interiors while preserving privacy. Carefully restored and reimagined into a coffee table in our workshop, it retains its historic charm with a distressed light wood finish and features a glass top that preserves and protects the delicate craftsmanship.

A raw silk lining beneath the panel enhances its rich textures. Supported by minimalist black metal legs, the fusion of old and new allows this piece to sit beautifully in both heritage and contemporary interiors.

✦ Key Features:
• Original early 1900s Indian jali panel from a Rajasthan haveli
• Made from solid mango wood with hand-carved floral and geometric detailing
• Topped with thick tempered glass for protection and elegance
• Custom built with a raw silk underlay to highlight the carvings
• Mounted on sleek, black metal tapered legs for a modern balance
• One-of-a-kind conversation piece with layered cultural significance
• Versatile for use as a coffee table or statement centrepiece in a living room

✦ Cultural & Historical Context
Jali work is a hallmark of Indian architecture, most famously featured in Mughal palaces and Rajasthani havelis. It embodies not only decorative craftsmanship but also intelligent ventilation and light diffusion. This piece honours those traditions, now revitalised for a new life in modern interiors.

✦ Styling Tip
Place this coffee table in a central living space surrounded by neutral linens, brass accents, and warm-toned woods to complement its golden hues. Its detailed carvings add instant heritage charm and a sculptural presence to any room.
